Lauren Engle is an Attorney at The Harris Law Firm who represents clients from our Denver and Englewood offices. She focuses her practice on child custody, parental rights allocation, divorce, adoption, and child advocacy.
Lauren’s interest in family law was sparked by her experience shadowing social workers serving indigent populations in medical centers as a high school student. This experience exposed her to the effect of family dynamics on overall health and wellness and encouraged her to pursue a career that directly impacts the lives of everyday people.
Lauren attended law school at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, (Go Heels!) where her work exploring statutory inconsistencies regarding children’s medical rights was published in the First Amendment Law Review. She also developed her negotiation skills as a member of the Moot Court Negotiations Team, achieving recognition as a Semi-Finalist at the William & Mary Law School Negotiation Tournament in 2022.
In her practice, Lauren’s calm and compassionate approach makes her an effective guide for clients struggling with high-conflict situations. Her generous but firm demeanor provides clients with both direction and an opportunity to be heard.
Outside of her professional and academic pursuits, Lauren enjoys volunteering with the Colorado Lawyers Committee and other local organizations. She spends most of her free time hiking, rock climbing, painting, and cooking with her friends.
