Julie Jay is a Paralegal at The Harris Law Firm, where she assists our legal staff in guiding individuals and families through a range of divorce and family law cases.
A Colorado native, Julie became interested in a career in law after working as a receptionist in a law firm and watching how attorneys and staff could have such a powerful impact on the lives of their clients. She later went on to become a legal assistant at the firm and, while she was exposed to many different types of law, developed an interest in the field of family law.
Since becoming a paralegal, Julie has devoted her legal career solely to family law. She is passionate about the work she does and enjoys how it allows her to take a direct role in helping people navigate unfamiliar experiences and legal processes. As a person who has always valued helping others, she also enjoys being part of a valuable support system designed to help folks facing difficult times.
At The Harris Law Firm, Julie is known for her personable and passionate approach. She knows that clients often feel emotional and overwhelmed when grappling with the types of life changes that bring them to our firm and helps them feel at ease by taking the time to listen and understand their needs. In addition to the attention to detail, punctuality, and organizational skills that allow her to maximize efficiency, Julie also makes it a priority to keep her clients informed and updated throughout the entirety of their cases.
Jule grew up, attended school and college, and still lives in Colorado Springs. When she is not helping our clients, she enjoys photography, hiking, elk hunting, fly-fishing, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren.
