Anna Paschke
I was born and raised in St Louis, Missouri and attended college at Washington University. There I studied anthropology and biology, and one of the highlights of my college career was spending a summer in Central America assisting on a botany project.
After college, I was offered a full scholarship to St Louis University School of Law where I was active in the Public Interest Law Group and the Civil Litigation Clinic. It was through the Clinic that I got my first experience in family law and realized how much I enjoy this work and how strongly I feel about family law issues.
Prior to joining The Harris Law Firm, I ran a Family Law Program for indigent persons at a local non-profit organization called Metro Volunteer Lawyers. Like most non-profits, we were understaffed and underfunded, so I learned to work efficiently and make the most of every dollar. More importantly, however, I learned to appreciate the strength of the human spirit. Working with individuals who are struggling, not only with a family crisis, but often also with other obstacles such as homelessness, mental illness, or cultural barriers, taught me that most people can endure far more than they realize and still find happiness. It is this hope that I now try to share with clients.
There are an infinite number reasons that a person may find their way to a family law attorney's office - there are no cookie-cutter cases! My first priority is to listen carefully to clients, to understand their unique situations and concerns. My goal is to collaborate with clients to help them move forward in the most positive way possible, to bring their current family life to a meaningful conclusion and give their future family life a strong foundation. I try to make the process as streamlined as possible, to keep the focus positive and practical, and to ensure that clients are informed and comfortable each step of the way.
Outside of law, I continue to pursue a life long interest in dance and a commitment to community involvement. I enjoy staying active and dabbling in new things. My latest hobby is food - both growing, cooking, and eating it! And, like any good Coloradan, I spend a great deal of time outdoors, hiking, cycling, and enjoying nature.
